The technical side of things These lamps plug into your regular home outlets, but they pack a punch. We use precision-wound tungsten filaments to keep the temperature steady. One quick tip: make sure your fixture’s housing can actually handle the heat. You don’t want a plastic casing that starts to smell or “off-gas” because it’s getting too hot. The trade-off Here’s the catch. When you prioritize eye safety, you lose a tiny bit of that raw, instant heating power. Since we’re filtering out some of those aggressive wavelengths, you won’t feel that immediate “blast” of heat you get from an industrial lamp. It’s a gentler experience. To make up for it, you might want to mount the fixture a bit closer to where you’ll actually be standing, or maybe add an extra tube or two.
