
Stop the Bathroom Mold Struggle
Most bathroom heaters are kind of a joke. They just warm up the air, leaving your walls damp and your grout prone to that gross black mold. We did things differently. We built these infrared lamps to go after the moisture exactly where it hides—on your surfaces.
How it actually works
We use shortwave infrared. Now, don’t let the science-speak bore you. Here is the simple version: while regular heat just floats around the room, shortwave radiation actually sinks into your tiles and grout. It gets the water molecules vibrating so fast that they turn into vapor. Once you’ve got these wired in, they create a quick temperature shift. This basically pushes the moisture out of your walls and into the air, where your exhaust fan can actually do its job and suck it out of the house. It’s less about “warming the room” and more about physically pushing the water out.
Built for the splash zone
Water and electricity? Bad mix. That’s why we gave these an IPX5 rating. In plain English: you can splash them from any angle and the internals stay dry. We use quartz glass and high-wattage halogen filaments to make sure the surface gets hot enough to dry things out fast. Plus, we put reinforced seals on all the connection points so steam can’t sneak into the electrical terminals. It’s built to last in a wet environment.
A couple of things to watch out for
These lamps put out a lot of intense, directional heat. Because of that, you have to be smart about where you put them. If you mount them too close to plastic fixtures or PVC trim, you might actually warp the plastic.Don’t do that. At the same time, if you mount them too high up near the ceiling, you lose that drying effect on the walls. The trick is to aim them right at the spots that stay damp the longest. Get the placement right, and you’ll stop scrubbing mold off your shower tiles every few months.
